Author Highlights & Community Events

The Grow Lit Project advances early literacy by creating meaningful, community-based reading experiences for children and families. Through author visits, read-aloud events, and literacy celebrations, we connect young readers with stories that build confidence, representation, and a lifelong love of learning.

Our Author Highlights and Community Events reflect our commitment to literacy access beyond the classroom—bringing books, authors, and positive role models directly into early learning centers and community spaces. These engagements support language development, imagination, and social-emotional growth while reinforcing the importance of early reading at home and in school.

Activities include author-led read-alouds, book donations, and interactive literacy experiences designed to support early childhood development.

As part of the visit, ten copies of Brandin’s books were donated to the center’s library to support continued literacy engagement.
